【Famous Architecture Project】Judisches Museum-Architectural CAD Drawings
The Jewish Museum Berlin (German: Jüdisches Museum Berlin) is a museum located in Berlin, Germany. It mainly displays historical relics and living records of German Jews for two thousand years.
In 1933, the museum was founded on a synagogue on Berlin's Oranienberg street. Five years later, the Nazi regime was forced to close.
Plans for the restoration of the Jewish Museum in Berlin were first proposed in 1971. In 1975, the Jewish Museum Association was established. The museum opened in 1978 when it was just a branch of the Berlin Museum. By 1999, the Jewish Museum was formally independent as a single institution, and the site was searched for independent buildings. In 2001, the Jewish Museum in Berlin was completed. The architect is the well-known Daniel Libeskind.
The curator of the museum is currently Professor Michael Brummell, born in Berlin. He was the United States Secretary of the Treasury under President Carter.
